The Team Contract: From Personal Values to Team Statements

In this session we will ask: How will a team know that we are honouring each other's values?

To some people, "coffee" means "black and bitter". To others "creamy and sugary".

That is why we always ask: How do you want your coffee?

To some people, "respect" means "an equal". To others "bow to me".

Coffee is a physical thing that can easily be described by our senses. Values cannot.

We have to ask "how will I know that you feel respected?"

By translating personal values into a team contract the interactions in the team becomes much easier.
